Emotional health is as important as physical health. If you are not emotionally healthy, you are most likely to achieve nothing in life even if you are mentally and physically capable of doing things.
It is important to always put your emotional health in check. Feeling down, anxious, fearful or sad for a short period of time may be considered normal. If any of these negative feelings persist and impede you from continuing on with life, appropriate intervention must be done immediately. Doing so will keep you from being paralyzed by these emotions and safe from pending death.
Next to being conscious of your emotional state, observing the following can help alleviate the negative feelings that are overpowering you.
1) Take a break – Physical and mental stress can increase the anxiety level that is residing inside of you at the moment.
2) Practice good nutrition – Taking in unhealthy stuff can cause the hormonal imbalance within your body which result into negative emotions.
3) Help others – By helping others, you will see that there are other people around you who are suffering from far more than you do and yet they are able to pull through and enjoy life to the fullest. Hearing other people say ‘thank you’ for something that you have helped them with can help change how you feel and your view about life.
